Located at one of our favorite Disney resorts, Fort Wilderness, Trail’s End Restaurant provides a tasty buffet for breakfast, dinner and brunch on certain dates. Trail’s End is reminiscent of a pioneer chow hall with mounted animals, pot-bellied stove, split-log walls, and beamed ceilings. If you’re lucky you might hear the dinner triangle round up some birthday and anniversary wishes. We visited Trails End for dinner and enjoyed the all you care to eat buffet with peel and eat shrimp, hand-carved roasted meats, smoked pork ribs, salad, veggies, ice cream sundae bar, desert bar and more.
One of our favorite aspects of Disney dining is the care that Disney takes with allergies. Trail’s End Restaurant at Walt Disney World’s Fort Wilderness Campground is no exception. My son, who is gluten free, enjoyed a gluten free tour of the buffet by the chef and also had some special gluten free treats brought out to our table. He was able to enjoy quite few of the entrees off of the buffet and the ice cream from the desert bar. We were awed by the masterful creations the chef brought to our table, however it took awhile for the entrees to come out so he was mostly full when the GF goodies arrived. Fortunately we were able to take a few of the chicken tenders home for breakfast. They were good the second time too! To learn more about Trail’s End or plan your own visit, click here.
