The storm arrived. It ravaged and battered our state. The winds howled. The rain poured. Strong trees snapped like twigs. Water overran its boundaries. It was too much for some to handle.
Life is a storm. It ravages and batters our lives. Struggles howl. Obstacles pour down on us. We break. We overrun our boundaries. It is too much for us.
Help came for Florida after hurricane Irma. Utility companies restored power. Grocery stores restocked shelves. Help was and is being given.
The load is too much for any of us to bare alone. We all need help. “Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall. But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, the will walk and not be faint (Isaiah 40:30-31, NIV).” Storms will ravage and break us. However, those who hope in the Lord never face the storms alone.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30, NIV)”
