Scars

Many of our bodies have scars. Scars adorn knees from bike accidents. Scars remain on hands from falls in the ice. Faces may wear scars of acne or chicken pox. Other scars are not visible. Scars are left on our hearts from betrayal, loneliness, abuse, depression, anxiety, grief and a host of other emotions. It is hard to make it through life without scars. My Friends 

Friends are wonderful. During my lifetime, I have been blessed with many friends. I have had childhood friends that I have giggled and shared whispered secrets with. I have had college friends that I laughed with, commiserated with and studied with. I have bonded with young mothers.
