Eaton’s Beach Bar & Grill

Eaton’s Beach Bar & Grill

Beach front dining with a menu inspired from Florida and Louisiana cuisine, make Eaton’s beach an entertaining and relaxing location. Situated on Lake Weir in Weirsdale, Eaton’s Beach is divided into two separate restaurants and Sand Bar with daily drink specials.   On the first level is Eaton’s Beach Restaurant, where my friends and I began our girl’s night out. We sampled some of their signatures dishes including chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, and fried green tomatoes. Award winning…

Trail’s End Restaurant

Trail’s End Restaurant

Located at one of our favorite Disney resorts, Fort Wilderness, Trail’s End Restaurant provides a tasty buffet for breakfast, dinner and brunch on certain dates. Trail’s End is reminiscent of a pioneer chow hall with mounted animals, pot-bellied stove, split-log walls, and beamed ceilings. If you’re lucky you might hear the dinner triangle round up some birthday and anniversary wishes. We visited Trails End for dinner and enjoyed the all you care to eat buffet with peel and eat shrimp,…

Grand Floridian Cafe

Grand Floridian Cafe

The Grand Floridian Cafe is located at the luxurious Grand Floridian Resort in the Magic Kingdom area of Walt Disney World. With our 20% pass holder discount, I thought the prices were fairly reasonable. The adult entrees are between $15-$35, with kids meals on average $8-$10. The restaurant provides a full allergy menu which offers dozens of selections. Of course, if you have questions or concerns you can speak to the chef. My son, who is gluten free, was quite…

Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show

Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show

Hidden in the palm trees and lush foliage of Walt Disney World’s Polynesian Resort lies the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show. As our family waited in line for the show, we felt like we had been transported to the Polynesian Islands. We enjoyed the mild Florida March weather and the view of the Seven Seas Lagoon.  We were given leis and then the hostess showed us to our table which was already set with tropical mixed greens in mango poppyseed…

PizzeRizzo

PizzeRizzo

PizzeRizzo is Disney’s Hollywood Studios newest eatery. Located in the former Toy Story themed Pizza Planet, PizzeRizzo is in Muppets Courtyard next to Muppet Vision 3D. Plenty of seating can be found on both levels and outside. We usually sit on the top floor as it is usually fairly empty and quiet. It is a nice sensory break for my boys and I, who are easily overwhelmed after a few hours at the park. For more of a sensory experience,…

Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue

Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue

“Come ‘n git it!” With the clang of the dinner triangle, guests are ushered into the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue. Located at Walt Disney World’s Campsites at the Fort Wilderness Resort, the dinner show is just a short boat ride away from Disney’s Magic Kingdom. As we entered Pioneer Hall theater, we were shown to our table where buttery, moist cornbread and salad awaited us. Drink orders were promptly taken by the server. For guests over 21, unlimited beer, wine, and sangria…

Coney’s Italian Ice and Creamery

Coney’s Italian Ice and Creamery

Ever since the coming soon sign was posted, my kids started drooling and asking when they were going to open. I didn’t know what to expect when Coney’s Italain Ice and Creamery posted their eye catching sign in the Sorrento Hills plaza near our home in Sorrento, Fl.  I had never heard of the company and wondered what their definition of Italian Ice would taste like. I envisioned a sno cone like treat that would appeal to my kids’ taste…
