Fresh from a Safari, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey are dressed in their khaki gear ready to pose for pictures and dance the day away at the African inspired buffet, Tusker House. The characters rotate to the various tables as guests enjoy food inspired from the African continent. Throughout meal times, guest may also dance with the famous characters in an impromptu dance party. Located at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom, the restaurant boasts a marketplace eatery with various food stations, including a child sized buffet. Our family enjoys the breakfast ($35-$59 for adults) which includes pastries, plantains, quiches, frittatas and more. Beverages, such as the delicious and unique jungle juice, are included in the price. As always, we were pleasantly pleased with the gluten free options available. My son received a menu of the gluten free items on the buffet and was able to order a plate of gluten free pastries and Mickey Waffles. The restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner. The rustic and vintage decorations transport diners to an African marketplace a la Disney style.
