My favorite food is Sushi. So it should come as no surprise that I was beyond excited when Momiji Japanese Restaurant moved into the new shopping center right outside our subdivision. I was even more excited when my husband suggested that our growing boys needed the opportunity to show off their maturity by spending some time by themselves. I heartily agreed and I knew just the place for our escape. We were not disappointed in the restaurant and have visited many times after our initial visit. Our favorite appetizer is the Gyoza (pan fried Japanese dumplings, available in pork or vegetable, 6 pieces for $5). Ranging in prices from $5-$7 per roll, my favorite entrée is always the Sushi, which I have found to be quite delicious. My husband enjoys their hibachi, which costs $15-$28. Even though we found Momiji to be a great date night, it is also boasts a family friendly atmosphere. My kids like to go there for hibachi at lunch. With prices ranging from $9-$16, the wide array of lunch specials are offered from Monday-Friday, 11-3, except for holidays. Offering much more than hibachi and Sushi, Momiji’s menu can viewed online here, at their website. Located at 24400 State Rd. 44 in Sorrento, Momiji Japanese Restaurant is the place to fulfill your Japanese craving or try something new.
