Time For Peaches

Time For Peaches

We recently visited one of our family’s favorite stops in Georgia, Lanes Southern Orchards in Fort Valley, Georgia. Over the years,  we have visited Lanes numerous times due to the close proximity to our family and I75. Of course, what keeps us coming back to Lanes is the fun and yum factor! Lunch at Lanes is always a big hit with our family. They seem to have something for all ages and tastes, from burgers and chicken tenders to an endless soup and salad bar. My favorite was the shrimp and corn soup. My boys always gobble their food up in hopes of talking their grandparents into some peach ice cream or cobbler. After lunch we usually take our peach tea or peach lemonade out and let the kids play on the playground. Additionally, Lanes boasts a large roadside market with local, seasonal produce, wines, gourmet treats, souvenirs, gift ideas, and my favorite,  free samples. In the past we have picked strawberries and taken the self guided tour packing line tour, which shows the journey of the peach from farm to table. No matter the time of year, our family always has a good time at Lanes. For more information check out their website: http://www.lanesouthernorchards.com/
