This year we have been using My Father’s World Exploring: Countries and Cultures curriculum. Along with the packaged curriculum, our family has enjoyed supplementing our curriculum with trip’s to Walt Disney World’s Epcot theme park. Our first destination: Mexico!
Our favorite stop in the Mexico pavilion is always the pre-Colombian pyramid, which sits in the midst of a Yucatán jungle. Inside the pyramid, visitors can journey through Mexico with Jose Carioca and Panchito as they search for their amigo, Donald Duck, aboard the Three Cabellero’s Gran Fiesta Tour.
Overlooking, the boat ride is the San Angel Inn Restaurant. My husband and I enjoy the romantic ambience of the restaurant, while our boys love the traditional Mexican food and watching the boat riders as they travel past the Mayan pyramid on Disney’s Rio Grande.
Guests may also browse inside and outside of the pyramid for Mexican arts, crafts, souvenirs, and additional snacks and dining options. We always enjoy the strolling Mariachi band and the colorful sombreros.
